BOM has an ongoing relationship with LB of Barking and Dagenham’s Council, providing comprehensive Traffic Management Order support via Buchanan Computing’s ParkMap and Traffweb software. BOM first undertook a borough-wide Traffic Order review for LBBD in 2014, fully digitising all of its Traffic Orders. One of several local authorities which BOM provides Traffic Order Support for, LBBD has tasked BOM with comprehensive assistance with its Traffic Order management processes.

When new restrictions are introduced within the borough, or if existing ones need to be edited or revoked, BOM works closely in conjunction with the boroughs TMO team. We firstly make any restriction changes on ParkMap, using detailed plans provided by the borough. Once these proposed changes have been mapped and the affected map-schedule tiles have been amended, the draft Public Notices and draft TMO Articles are produced by BOM and published by the council. After the consultation period for the new proposed orders is finished, the restrictions are confirmed on ParkMap and draft Notices of Making are produced by BOM and LBBD’s TMO team.  

All changes made to the system are uploaded daily to LB of Barking and Dagenham’s fully populated Traffweb page, which clearly communicates to the public all Confirmed static TO restrictions within the borough.

By using BOM’s bespoke Traffic Order Support services, LB of Barking and Dagenham benefits from our ParkMap and TO Management expertise. We work closely with the LBBD team to ensure their ParkMap system is updated accurately and consistently, which is vital for both efficient TO management and for ensuring its digital TO records are clearly communicated to the public.
