Case study

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Consolidation and transfer to map-based data for moving and speeds limit restrictions

Buchanan Order Management are currently consolidating various pre-existing GIS and text based systems for BCP to consolidate and audit all moving and speed limit data and schedules

Buchanan Order Management (BOM) has been commissioned to support BCP to create a new moving and speed limit based layer, using their existing hosted ParkMap system directly. These new map digital map layers will cover all three areas, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, so will be consolidated together to form a new BCP layer. This work includes transferring data from differing GIS systems and converting text schedules into mapped restrictions. Some survey work will also form part of this project to reconcile any data anomalies and to ensure that traffic orders that have been mapped match the restrictions on the ground to ensure compliant map schedules and enforceable restrictions.
